Ingredients
- 9-12 medium Chinese dried black mushrooms
- 12-18 fresh or tinned clams
- 50 g (2 oz) abalone
- 50-75 g (2-3 oz) flesh from chicken breast
- 6 water chestnuts
- 3 slices root ginger
- 1 liter (2 1/2 pints) stock
- salt and pepper to taste
- 15-30 ml (1-2 tablespoons) dry sherry
