Chinese Recipes – Szechwan Ground-Rice Steamed Pork Pudding with Soy Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 900g/2lb belly of pork
  • 2 chili peppers
  • 2 medium onions
  • 3 slices root ginger
  • 30ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 15ml (1 tablespoon) brown sugar
  • 15ml/1 tbsp red southern soy cheese
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) sherry
  • 2.2-2.65 kg (5-6 lb) ground rice (coarsely ground, and made aromatic by roasting or frying in a dry pan until brown)
  • 60-90 ml (4-6 tablespoons) green peas

Serve 6-8
