Almond Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
100g/4oz self-raising
flour
5ml/1 tsp baking powder
50g/2 oz lard
100g/4oz sugar
2 eggs, beaten
12 almonds
Method:
Mix the flour and
baking powder then rub it the large until mixture
resemble breadcrumbs.
Mix in the sugar
and 1 egg to form a thick paste. Divide into 12
balls and pres into circles on a greased baking
tray. Press an almond on to the top of each one.
Glaze with the
remaining egg and bake in a preheated oven at
200C/400F/gas mark 6 for 20 minutes until golden
brown. Cool on a wire rack.
