Glazed Chestnuts Recipe
Ingredients

450g/1lb chestnuts
-
450g/1lb sugar
-
250g/3/4 cup honey
Method:

Soak the
chestnuts in water to cover. Drain, shell and pat
dry.

Mix the sugar and
honey and cook over a low heat, stirring
continuously, until the mixture forms a syrup.

Add the
chestnuts, stir well, cover and simmer very gently
for about 2 hours until tender, stirring frequently.
-
Arrange the
chestnuts separately on a greased serving plate and
leave to cool before serving.
