Chinese Desserts, Cakes and Confectionery Recipes - Sweet Pureed Water Chestnuts Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450g/1lb water chestnuts

  • 225g/8oz sugar

  • 600ml/2 1/2 cups water

  • 2 glace cherries, sliced


Method:

  1. Puree the water chestnuts in a food processor.

  2. Dissolve the sugar in the water over a low heat then stir in the water chestnuts and simmer gently until heated through and thickened. Serve at once.
