Toffee Apples Recipe
Ingredients
Method:

Mix together the
flour, egg and sesame oil to a smooth batter. Add
the apples.

Heat the peanut
oil and deep-fry a few pieces of fruit at a time for
about 2 minutes until golden brown.

Drain on kitchen
paper and keep then warm while you fry the remaining
fruit pieces.

Reheat the oil
and deep-fry the fruit for a further 2 minutes then
drain on kitchen paper.

Meanwhile, mix
the sugar, sesame deeds and 30ml/2 tbsp oil form the
deep-frying pan and heat until the mixture begins to
caramelize.

Stir the fruit
into the caramel a few at a time then place them in
iced water to harden. Remove from the water and
serve at once.
