Ingredients

  • 100g/1 cup water chestnut flour

  • 120ml/1/2 cup water

  • 100g/1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 600ml/2 1/2 cups water


Method:

  1. Mix the chestnut flour with the first quantity of water and place in a heatproof bowl.

  2. Blend in the sugar and remaining water then cover the bowl.

  3. Place on a steaming rack over boiling water and steam for 1 hour. Serve hot or cold.
