Chinese Tofu Recipes - Tofu Stir-Fry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 1 spring onion (scallion), chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 450 g/1 lb tofu, cubed

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp corn flour (cornstarch)


  • Method:

    1. Heat the oil and fry the spring onion, and garlic until lightly browned. Add the tofu and fry until golden.

    2. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
