Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Bean Sprouts and Celery Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 g/1lb bean sprouts              

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 4 stalks celery, cut into strips   

  • 5 ml/1 tsp salt

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 90 ml/6 tbsp chicken stock


Method:

  1. Blanch the bean sprouts in boiling, water for 3 minutes then drain.

  2. Heat the oil and stir-fry the celery for 1 minute. Add the bean sprouts and stir-fry for 1 minute.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to the boll, cover and simmer for 3 minutes before serving.
