Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Carrots with Honey Recipe
Ingredients

1 kg/2 lb small spring carrots
-
20 ml/4 tsp groundnut (peanut) oil
-
20 ml/4 tsp unsalted butter
-
15 ml/1 tbsp water
-
10 ml/2 tsp honey
-
15 ml/1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
-
100 g/4 oz pine kernels
-
salt and freshly ground pepper
Method:
-
Wash the carrots and cut the green down to 5 mm/1/4
in.
-
Heat the oil and butter, add the water and honey
and bring to the boil.
-
Add the carrots and cook for
about 4 minutes. Add the coriander and pine kernels
and season with salt and pepper.
