Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Curried Onions with Peas Recipe
Ingredients
450 g/1lb pearl onions
10 ml/2 tsp salt
225 g/8 oz peas
45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil
10 m/2 tsp curry powder
freshly ground pepper
Method:
Place the onions in a pan and just cover with
boiling water. Season with 5 ml/1 tsp of salt and
boil for 5 minutes. Cover and boil for a further 10
minutes.
Add the peas and cook for a further 5
minutes then drain.
Heat the oil and fry the curry
powder, remaining salt and remaining pepper for 30
seconds.
Add the drained vegetables and stir-fry
until hot and glazed with the curry oil.
