Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Green Beans with Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 2 dried red chili peppers

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 450 g/1lb green beans


Method:

  1. Heat the oil with the chili peppers and fry until they change color then remove them from the pan. Add the onions and stir-fry until lightly browned.

  2. Meanwhile, blanch the beans in boiling water for 2 minutes then drain well.

  3. Add to the onions and stir-fry for 10 minutes until tender but still crisp and well coated in the spiced oil.
