Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Marinated Vegetables Recipe
Ingredients

30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil

225 g/8 oz broccoli
florets

225 g/8 oz cauliflower
florets
-
100 g/4 oz oyster
mushrooms
-
2 carrots, thinly
sliced
-
1 stick celery, thinly
sliced
-
120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup
dry white wine
-
30 ml/2 tbsp plum sauce
-
30 ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
-
juice of 1 orange
-
5 ml/1/2 tsp freshly
ground pepper
-
30 ml/2 tbsp wine
vinegar
Method:
-
Heat the oil and stir-fry the vegetables for about
5 minutes then transfer them to a bowl.

Add the
wine, plum sauce, soy sauce, orange juice and pepper
and toss well to mix. Cover and refrigerate
overnight.

Place the marinated vegetables in a
steamer, cover and cook over gently boiling water to
which the wine vinegar has been added for about 15
minutes.
