Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Spicy Cabbage Stir-Fry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450g/1lb cabbage, shredded

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 2 doves garlic, crushed

  • 1 slice ginger root, minced

  • 15ml/1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 15ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 15ml/1 tbsp chili bean sauce

  • 5ml/1 tsp sesame oil


Method:

  1. Blanch the cabbage in boiling salted water for 2 minutes. Drain well.

  2. Heat the oil and stir-fry the garlic and ginger for a few seconds until lightly browned.

  3. Add the cabbage and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.
