Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Spicy Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 slice ginger root, minced

  • 2 spring onions (scallions), chopped

  • 225 g/8 oz button mushrooms

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp hoi sin sauce

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp chicken stock

  • 5 ml/1 tsp sesame oil


Method:

  1. Heat the oil and stir-fry the garlic, ginger and spring onions for 2 minutes.

  2. Add the mushrooms and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
