Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Stir-Fried Chinese Leaves Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 1 clove garlic, chopped

  • 3 spring onions, chopped

  • 350 g/12 oz Chinese leaves, shredded

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • 450 ml/3/4 pt boiling water


Method:

  1. Heat the oil and fry the garlic and onion until lightly browned. Add the Chinese leaves and salt and stir well.

  2. Add the boiling water, return to the boil, cover arid simmer for about 5 minutes until the Chinese leaves are tender but still crisp. Drain well.
