Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 450 g/1lb red cabbage, shredded

  • 50 g/1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp wine vinegar

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 5 ml/1 tsp salt

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp corn flour (cornstarch)


Method:

  1. Heat the oil and stir-fry the cabbage for 4 minutes.

  2. Add the sugar, wine vinegar, soy sauce and salt and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  3. Mix the corn flour with a little water and stir-fry for 1 minute.
