Chinese Beef Recipes - Beef with Ginger Recipe
Ingredients

15 ml/1 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil
-
450 g/1lb lean beef,
sliced
-
1 onion, thinly sliced
-
2 cloves garlic, crushed
-
2 pieces crystallized
ginger, thinly sliced
-
15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce
-
150 ml/2/3 cup water
-
2 stalks celery, diagonally
sliced
-
5 ml/1 tsp salt
Method:
-
Heat the oil and fry the beef, onion and garlic
until lightly browned.

Add the ginger, soy sauce and
water, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 25
minutes.
-
Add the celery, cover and simmer for a
further 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt before
serving.
