Chinese Beef Recipes - Marinated Stir-Fried Beef Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 g/1lb lean beef, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 60 ml/4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 15ml/1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 5 ml/1 tsp salt

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil


Method:

  1. Place the beef in a bowl and add the garlic, soy sauce, sugar and salt.

  2. Mix together well, cover and leave to marinate for about 2 hours, turning occasionally. Drain, discarding the marinade.

  3. Heat the oil and stir-fry the beef until browned on all sides then serve at once.
