Chinese Beef Recipes - Shredded Spiced Beef Recipe
Ingredients

90 ml/6 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil
-
450 g/1lb lean beef, cut
into strips

50 g/2 oz chili bean paste
-
freshly ground pepper
-
15 ml/1 tbsp minced ginger
root
-
30 ml/2 tbsp rice wine or
dry sherry

225 g/8 oz celery. cut into
chunks
-
30 ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
-
5 ml/1 tsp sugar
-
5 ml/1 tsp wine vinegar
Method:
-
Heat the oil and fry the beef until browned. Add the
chili bean paste and pepper and stir-fry for 3
minutes.

Add the ginger, wine or sherry and celery
and stir well together. Add the soy sauce, sugar and
vinegar and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
