Chinese Beef Recipes - Steamed Minced Beef Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lb minced beef

  • 2 onions, finely chopped

  • 100g/4oz water chestnuts, finely chopped

  • 60ml/4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 60ml/4 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry

  • salt and freshly ground pepper


Method:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients, seasoning to taste with salt and pepper. Press into a small heatproof bowl and stand in a steamer over simmering water.

  2. Cover and steam for about 20 minutes until the meat is cooked and the dish has created its own tasty sauce.
