Chinese Chicken Recipes - Chicken Livers with Noodle
Pancake Recipe
Ingredients

30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil
-
1 onion, sliced
-
450 g/1b chicken livers,
halved
-
2 stalks celery, sliced
-
120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup
chicken stock
-
15 ml/1 tbsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)
-
15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce
-
30 ml/2 tbsp water
-
noodle pancake
Method:
-
Heat the oil and fry the onion until softened. Add
the chicken livers and stir-fry until colored. Add
the celery and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add the stock,
bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix the corn-flour, soy sauce and water to a paste,
stir it into the pan and simmer, stirring, until the
sauce clears and thickens.

Pour the mixture over the
noodle pancake and serve.
