Chinese Chicken Recipes - Chicken with Soy Sauce Recipe
Ingredients

350 g/12 oz chicken, diced
-
2 spring onions
(scallions), chopped
-
3 slices ginger root,
minced
-
15 ml/1 tbsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)
-
30 ml/2 tbsp rice wine or
dry sherry
-
30 ml/2 tbsp water
-
45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil

60 ml/4 tsp thick soy sauce
-
5 ml/1 tsp sugar
Method:
-
Mix together the chicken, spring onions, ginger,
corn-flour, wine or sherry and water and leave to
stand for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Heat the oil and stir-fry the chicken for about 3
minutes until lightly browned.

Add the soy sauce and sugar and stir-fry for about 1
minute until the chicken is cooked through
and tender.
