Chinese Chicken Recipes - Golden Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 small chicken pieces

  • 300 ml/1 1/4 cups chicken stock

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry

  • 5 ml/1 tsp sugar

  • 1 sliced ginger root, minced


Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a large pan, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.

  2. Remove the lid and continue to simmer until the sauce has reduced.
