Chinese Eggs Recipes - Deep-Fried Egg Foo Yung Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 5ml/1 tsp salt

  • 100g/4oz smoked ham, chopped

  • 100/4oz mushrooms, chopped

  • 15ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • oil for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Mix the eggs with the salt, ham, mushrooms and soy sauce.

  2. Heat the oil and carefully drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the oil.

  3. Cook until they rise to the surface turn them over until they are brown on both sides.

  4. Remove from the oil and drain while you cook the remaining pancakes.
