Chinese Lamp Recipes - Mustard Roast Lamb Recipe

Ingredients

  • 75 ml/5 tbsp prepared mustard

  • 15ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 5 ml/1 tsp chopped fresh thyme

  • 1 slice ginger root, minced

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 1.25 kg/3 lb leg of lamb


Method:

  1. Mix together all the seasoning ingredients until creamy. Spread over the lamb and leave to stand for a few hours.

  2. Roast in a preheated oven at 180C/350F/gas mark 4 for about 1 1/2 hours.
