Chinese Noodles and Pastry Recipes - Stewed Noodles Recipe
Ingredients

450g/1 lb egg noodles
-
5ml/1 tsp salt
-
30ml/2 tbsp peanut oil
-
3 spring onions, cut into
strips
-
1 love garlic, rushed
-
2 slices ginger root,
minced
-
100g/4oz lean pork, cut
into strips
-
100g/4oz ham, cut into
strips
-
100g/4oz peeled prawns
-
450ml/2 cups chicken stock
-
30ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
Method:

Bring a pan of
water to the boil, add the salt and toss in the
noodles.

Return to boil
and boil for 5 minutes then drain and rinse in cold
water.

Meanwhile, heat
the oil and fry the spring onions, garlic and ginger
until lightly browned.

Add the pork and
stir-fry until lightly colored. Add the ham and
prawns and stir in the stock, soy sauce and noodles.
-
Bring to the
boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
