Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Bacon with Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 rashers streaky bacon, chopped

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 slice ginger root, minced

  • 1/2 cabbage, shredded

  • 75 ml/5 tbsp chicken stock

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp oyster sauce


Method:

  1. Fry the bacon until crisp then remove it from. Add the salt and ginger and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  2. Add the cabbage and stir well then stir in the bacon and add the stock, cover and simmer for about 5 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.

  3. Stir in the oyster sauce, cover and simmer for 1 minute before serving.
