Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Barbecued Pork Recipe
Ingredients
2 pork fillets
30 ml/2 tbsp red wine
15 ml/1 tbsp brown sugar
15 ml/1 tbsp honey
60 ml/4 tbsp soy sauce
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp cinnamon
10 ml/2 tsp red food color
(optional)
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 spring onion (scallion), cut
into chunks
Method:
Place the meat in a bowl. Mix together all the
remaining ingredients, pour over the pork and leave
to marinate for 2 hours, turning occasionally.
Drain
the meat and place it on a wire rack in a roasting
tin.
Cook in a preheated oven at 180C/350F/gas
mark 4 for about 45 minutes, turning and basting
with the marinade during cooking. Serve cut into
thin slices.
