Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Deep-Fried Ham and Egg Balls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 225 g/8 oz smoked ham, minced

  • 2 spring onions (scallions), minced

  • 3 eggs, beaten

  • 4 slices stale bread

  • 10 ml/2 tbsp plain (all-purpose) flour

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • oil for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Mix together the ham, spring onions and eggs. Make the bread into crumbs and mix it into the ham with the flour and salt.

  2. Shape into walnut sized balls. Heat the oil and deep-fry the meat balls until golden brown. Drain well on kitchen paper.
