Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Five-Spice Pork Recipe
Ingredients

225 g/8 oz lean pork
-
5 ml/1 tsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)

2.5 ml/1/2 tsp five-spice
powder
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt
-
15 ml/1 tbsp rice wine or dry
sherry
-
20 ml/2 tbsp groundnut (peanut)
oil
-
120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup chicken
stock
Method:
-
Slice the pork thinly against the grain. Mix the
pork with the corn-flour, five-spice powder, salt
and wine or sherry and stir well to coat the pork.

Leave to stand for 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Heat the oil, add the pork and
stir-fry for about 3 minutes.

Add the stock, bring
to the boil, cover and simmer for 3 minutes. Serve
immediately.
