Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Pork Egg Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
225 g/8 oz lean pork, shredded
1 slice ginger root, minced
1 spring onion, chopped
15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce
15 ml/1 tbsp water
12 egg roll skins
1 egg, beaten
oil for deep-frying
Method:
Mix together the pork, ginger, onion, soy sauce and
water. Place a little of the ruling on the centre of
each skin and brush the edges with beaten egg.
Fold
in the sides then roll the egg roll away from you,
sealing the edges with egg. Steam on a rack in a
steamer for 30 minutes until the pork is cooked.
Heat the oil and deep-fry for a few minutes until
crisp and golden.
