Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Pork with Peppers  Recipe

Ingredients

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 225 g/8 oz lean pork, cubed

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 2 green peppers, diced

  • 1/2 head Chinese leaves, diced

  • 1 slice ginger root, minced

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp sugar

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt


Method:

  1. Heat the oil and stir-fry the pork for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Add the onion and stir-fry for about 1 minute.

  2. Add the peppers and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the Chinese leaves and stir-fry for 1 minute.

  3. Mix together the remaining ingredients, stir them into the pan and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.
