Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Pork and Prawn Wontons Recipe
Ingredients
225 g/8 oz minced (ground) pork
2 spring onions (scallions),
chopped
100 g/4 oz mixed vegetables,
chopped
100 g/4 oz mushrooms, chopped
225 g/8 oz peeled prawns,
chopped
15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt
40 wanton skins
oil for deep-frying
Method:
Heat a pan and fry the pork and spring onions until
lightly browned. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
To fold the wontons, hold the skin in the palm of
your left hand and spoon a little filling into the
centre. Moisten the edges with egg and fold the skin
into a triangle, sealing the edges. Moisten the
corners with egg and twist them together.
Heat the oil and fry the wontons a few at a time
until golden brown. Drain well before serving.
