Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Pork with Vegetables Recipe
Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, crushed
-
5 ml/1 tsp salt
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp freshly ground
pepper
-
30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut (peanut)
oil
-
30 ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
-
225 g/8 oz broccoli florets
-
200 g/7 oz cauliflower florets
-
1 red pepper, diced
-
1 onion, chopped
-
2 oranges, peeled and diced
-
1 piece stem ginger, chopped
-
30 ml/2 tbsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)
-
300 ml/1 1/4 cups water
-
20 ml/2 tbsp wine vinegar
-
15 ml/1 tbsp honey
-
pinch of ground ginger
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp cumin
Method:
-
Crush the garlic, salt and pepper into the meat.
Heat the oil and stir-fry for meat until lightly
browned. Remove from the pan.

Add the soy sauce and
vegetables to the pan and stir-fry until tender but
still crisp. Add the oranges and ginger.

Mix the corn-flour and water and stir it into the pan with
the wine vinegar, honey, ginger and cumin.

Bring to
the boil and simmer, stirring, for 2 minutes.
Return the pork to the pan and heat through before
serving.
