Chinese Pork and Ham Recipes - Roast Pork Chow Mien Recipe

Ingredients

  • 100 g/4 oz bean sprouts

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 100 g/4 oz Chinese cabbage, shredded

  • 225 g/8 oz roast pork, sliced

  • 5 ml/1 tsp salt

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry


Method:

  1. Blanch the bean sprouts in boiling water for 4 minutes then drain. Heat the oil and stir-fry the bean sprouts and cabbage until just softened.

  2. Add the pork, salt and sherry and stir-fry until heated through. Add half the drained noodles to the pan and stir gently until heated through.

  3. Add the remaining noodles and stir until heated through.
