Chinese Rice Recipes - Boiled Brown Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 225g/1 cup long-grain brown rice

  • 5ml/1 tsp salt

  • 900ml/3 3/4 cups water


Method:

  1. Wash the rice then place it in a saucepan. Add the salt and water so that it comes about 3cm/1 1/4 in above the rice.

  2. Bring to the boil, cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce the heat and simmer gently for 30 minutes, making sure that it does not boil dry.
