Chinese Rice Recipes - Pepper Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 225g/1 cup long-grain rice

  • 2 spring onions, minced

  • 1 red pepper, diced

  • 45ml/3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 30ml/2 tbsp peanut oil

  • 5ml/1 tsp sugar


Method:

  1. Place the rice in a pan, cover with cold water, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes until tender.

  2. Drain well then stir in the spring onions, pepper, soy sauce, oil and sugar.

  3. Transfer to a warmed serving bowl and serve at once.
