Chinese Rice Recipes - Ten Precious Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 45ml/3 tbsp peanut oil

  • 1 spring onion, chopped

  • 100g/4oz lean pork, shredded

  • 1 chicken breast, shredded

  • 100g/4oz ham, shredded

  • 30ml/2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 30ml/2 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry

  • 5ml./1 tsp salt

  • 350g/12oz cooked long-grain rice

  • 250ml/1 cup chicken stock

  • 100g/4oz bamboo shoots, cut into strips

  • 50g/2oz water chestnuts, sliced


Method:

  1. Heat the oil and fry the spring onions until translucent.

  2. Add the pork and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the chicken and ham and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  3. Stir in the soy sauce, sherry and salt. Stir in the rice and stock and bring to the boil.

  4. Add the bamboo shoots and water chestnuts, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
