Chinese Seafood Recipes - Anise Prawns Recipe

Ingredients

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 5 ml/1 tsp sugar

  • 120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup fish stock

  • pinch of ground anise

  • 450 g/1lb peeled prawns


Method:

  1. Heat the oil, add the soy sauce, sugar, stock and anise and bring to the boil.

  2. Add the prawns and simmer for a few minutes until heated through and flavored.
