Chinese Seafood Recipes - Deep-Fried Trout Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 trout, cleaned and scaled

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 50g/1/2 cup plain (all-purpose) flour

  • oil for deep-frying

  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges


Method:

  1. Slash the fish diagonally a few times on each side. Dip in the beaten eggs then toss in the flour to coat completely. Shake off any excess.

  2. Heat the oil and deep-fry the fish for about 10 to 15 minutes until cooked. Drain on kitchen paper and serve with lemon.
