Mandarin Prawns with Peas Recipe
Ingredients

60 ml/4 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil

1 clove garlic, minced
-
1 slice ginger root, minced
-
450 g/1lb peeled prawns
-
30 ml/2 tbsp rice wine or
dry sherry
-
225 g/8 oz frozen peas, thawed
-
30 ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
-
15 ml/1 tbsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)
-
45 ml/3 tbsp water
Method:
-
Heat the oil and fry the garlic and ginger until
lightly browned. Add the prawns and stir-fry for 1
minute.

Add the wine or sherry and stir together
well. Add the peas and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Add
the remaining ingredients and stir-fry for 2
minutes.
