Prawns with Peppers Recipe
Ingredients

30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut
(peanut) oil
-
1 green pepper, cut into chunks
-
450 g/1lb peeled prawns
-
10 ml/2 tsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)
-
60 ml/4 tbsp water
-
5 ml/1 tsp rice wine or dry
sherry
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt
-
45 ml/2 tbsp tomato puree
(paste)
Method:
-
Heat the oil and stir-fry the pepper for 2 minutes.
Add the prawns and tomato puree and stir well.
-
Blend
the corn-flour water, wine or sherry and salt to a
paste, stir it into the pan and simmer, stirring,
until the sauce clears and thickens.
