Chinese Seafood Recipes - Prawns Wontons Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 g/1lb peeled prawns, chopped

  • 225 g/8 oz mixed vegetables, chopped

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • few drops of sesame oil

  • 40 wonton skins

  • oil for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Mix together the prawns, vegetables, soy sauce, salt and sesame oil.

  2. To fold the won tons, hold the skin in the palm of your left hand and spoon a little filling into the centre. Moisten the edges with egg and fold the skin into a triangle, sealing the edges. Moisten the corners with egg and twist them together.

  3. Heat the oil and fry the wontons a few at a time until golden brown. Drain well before serving.
