Chinese Stock and Soups Recipes - Tomato Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 400 g/14 oz canned tomatoes, drained and chopped

  • 1.2 l/2 pts/5 cups chicken stock

  • 1 slice ginger root, minced

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp chili bean sauce

  • 10 ml/2 tsp sugar


Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a pan and bring slowly to the boil, stirring occasionally.

  2. Simmer for about 10 minutes before serving.
