Diet & Weight Loss - Part 2

The most important consideration in striving to achieve ideal body weight is nutritional balance.

Caffeine, another natural ingredient that seems to aid in weight loss, is actually a dangerous, and very addictive drug. Typically found in diet pills, caffeine is also the primary ingredient in coffee, some soft drinks, and black, green, red and jasmine teas, all of which contain the camellia leaf.

In fact, the Camellia leaf is documented as having the highest concentration of caffeine of any natural sauce, 3.5% caffeine-bearing coffee species, Coffee Robusta, which contains 2.2% caffeine by weight.

The intake of 150-300 milligrams of caffeine often produces pressure and body temperature, increased metabolism and urine production, decreased coordination and appetite, and insomnia. Higher does of caffeine (300-600 milligrams) cause nervousness, nausea, headaches, and considerable gastrointestinal irritation.

There is even substantial evidence indicating that caffeine exercises harmful effects upon unborn children and is responsible for fetal abnormalities during all terms of the prenatal formation period.

The most important consideration in striving to achieve ideal body weight is nutritional balance. The body needs the proper nutrients for energy production and maintenance of the body's systems.

When the body is deprived of sufficient and balanced nutrients, it sends signals for more food. And even though there may be a gross oversupply of calories, the body's nutritional demands still may not have been met.

When the body is properly fed it is also properly balanced---metabolic rates stabilize, fatigue diminishes, and elimination of excess fat becomes easier. Exercise and proper diet are the keys to effective weight loss.

Aerobic exercise particularly---strengthens the heart, and enhances its ability to send oxygen-rich blood t the entire body. Proper nutrition---the other part of the equation for good health---results in in creased energy, increased health, and a strong immune system, a vital component of good health.
