Low Fat Recipes - Stir fried Chicken With Bean Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable stock

  • 1/4 lb (110g) fresh chicken breast, skinned and shredded

  • 1 lb (450g) bean sprouts, roots removed

  • 2 tsp (10ml) cornstarch

  • 2 tsp (10ml) dry sherry

  • 1/4 tsp (1ml) sugar

  • 1 tbsp (15ml) salt-reduced soy sauce


Method:

  1. Heat stock in a non-stick pan. Add chicken strips and stir-fry 3 minutes. Add bean sprouts. Cook covered 2 minutes. Blend cornstarch, sherry, sugar and soy sauce. Stir in to thicken. Serve at once.

  2. Serve garnished with green onion shreds.
