Chinese Chicken Recipes - Steamed Chicken with Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients

4 chicken pieces
-
30 ml/2 tbsp corn-flour
(cornstarch)
-
30 ml/2 tbsp soy sauce
-
3 spring onions
(scallions), chopped
-
2 slices root ginger,
chopped
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt
-
100 g/4 oz mushrooms,
sliced
Method:
-
Chop the chicken pieces into 5 cm/2 in chunks and
place them in an ovenproof bowl.
-
Mix the corn-flour
and soy sauce to a paste, stir in the spring onions,
ginger and salt and mix well with the chicken.
Gently stir in the mushrooms.

Place the bowl on a
rack in a steamer, cover and steam over boiling
water for about 35 minutes until the chicken is
tender.
