Chinese Chicken Recipes - Walnut Chicken Recipe
Ingredients

45 ml/3 tbsp
groundnut (peanut) oil
-
2 spring onions
(scallions), chopped

1 slice ginger
root, minced
-
450 g/1lb chicken
breast, very thinly sliced
-
50 g/2 oz ham,
shredded
-
30 ml/2 tbsp soy
sauce
-
30 ml/2 tbsp rice
wine or dry sherry
-
5 ml/1 tsp sugar
-
5 ml/1 tsp salt
-
100 g/4 oz/1 cup
walnuts, chopped
Method:
-
Heat the oil and stir-fry the onions and ginger for
1 minute.
-
Add the chicken and ham and stir-fry for 5
minutes until almost cooked.

Add the soy sauce, wine
or sherry, sugar and salt and stir-fry for 3
minutes.
-
Add the walnuts and stir-fry for 1 minute
until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.
