Ingredients
1 tablespoon finely chopped
lean pork
1 dessertspoon chopped
prawns
1 dessertspoon chopped
canned water chestnuts
1 chopped Chinese mushroom
1 dessertspoon chopped canned
bamboo shoots
1 1/2 tablespoons cooked peas
2 oz. transparent noodles
peanut oil
1 crushed clove garlic
1 chopped slice onion
pinch each salt, sugar and
(M.S.G.)
1- teaspoon soy sauce
1- teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons stock
1- beaten egg
Method:
Prepare the pork,
prawns and vegetables and have the peas ready. Drop
the transparent noodles into boiling water and cook
them for less than a minute. Drain and set them
aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon
of oil in a frying-pan. Fry the garlic in it to a
pale gold color and then discard it. Add the onion
and try it for 1/2 minute, then add the pork, prawns,
chestnuts, mushroom and bamboo shoots.
Move them about
for 3-4 minutes until dry. Add the seasonings, soy
sauce, sesame oil, stock and egg and cook, stirring,
for 1 minute. Finally, add the peas and heat them
through.
Meanwhile, cook
the drained noodles in deep oil for less than a
minute. Drain them, arrange them in a heated serving
dish and turn the meat mixture on top.
